meet little julie!
not so little anymore, julie parks established egg unlimited more than 20 years ago. inspired by a boutique in the cobblestone streets of london’s belgravia, the name ‘egg’ and the big idea of creating a bespoke catering company around little foods and mini breads was born.
little bit about julie…
during the 90’s (1989 to 1996), julie worked throughout great britain and europe as a chef for a renowned catering company and various private clients. it was here that julie acquired the knowledge and passion for food and presentation she has today.
upon reflection, julie particularly enjoyed her time in greece. working on a privately owned island, julie absorbed the culture and spent her days picking and cooking with fresh, raw ingredients & seasonal produce, harvested from the island itself. julie recalls bee keeping, the exquisite taste of lavender honey and the fresh ricotta made from the curd of local goats. although long days and hard work, julie prides her career on the skills developed during those mediterranean summers.
upon returning to melbourne, julie launched into the research and development of her unique idea… egg. she committed herself to the painstaking art of creating the perfect little bite – perfecting her little food, with the aim of minimum fuss & mess when consuming.
julie says: “the challenge that I love, is to create something that is little, that is visually beautiful and, most importantly, that is delicious – full of flavour. it requires a lot of meticulous work and precision for little treats like ours.”
now melbourne’s leaders in hand-made miniature breads & canapes, you’ll find egg lighting up boardrooms, cocktail parties & morning teas… as well as filling bellies with our not so little lunch boxes, share salads & hampers.
